What is the South Metro
D2/D1 Pickup Hockey Game?

    Designed to get friends and family together of the same ability to skate together at a local arena in the South Metro Area.  Locations include Eagan Civic Arena, Burnsville Ice Center, and Bloomington Ice Gardens. 

    The idea is to create a pool of players in the South Metro Area that can skate regularly on a Bi-Weekly  or Weekly basis.

  This option allows for friends and family to skate together on the same team when the skater signs up for the session.

How does it work?

   PickupHockeyFinder.com manages the session for us to ensure the correct amount of people show up.    

    Pickup Hockey Games are 90 minutes and cost only $10.00 per session paid the night of the event to the Captain.  Goalies skate free.  Total skaters are limited to 20, so 10 per bench, or 2 Full Lines per bench.  Full line changes are done every three minutes, so everyone gets the same amount of ice time!  This increases the tempo of the game and prevents certain problems from occurring associated with players taking excessively long shifts.

    The two separate lines can even have different levels of parity allowing for a higher range of skill level at a single session.
